WHAT IS SMP
To put it simply, Scalp Micropigmentation is cosmetic tattooing (hair tattoo) that uses detailed micro-needles to deposit pigment into the scalp in order to replicate natural hair follicles. This is a cosmetic procedure that creates the illusion of a fully shaved head.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST
During the consultation, we will discuss all possible style options and create a personalised treatment plan that meets your desired look. Our treatment plans range from £400 to £2500 depending on the type of procedure required and the severity of hair loss to the scalp.

ALOPECIA
Alopecia is a general term for hair loss. The most common form is Alopecia areata which is an autoimmune condition that usually causes hair loss that appear in coin sized round patches of baldness on the scalp. In some cases larger areas are affected and occasionally it can involve the whole scalp (alopecia totalis).
Unlike any other hair loss treatment options that are typically expensive and unreliable, scalp micropigmentation treatment is a safe, guaranteed, and affordable alternative for individuals affected by alopecia of all types. SMP will camouflage the effects of your condition and create the appearance of a full head of shaved hair.
Hair Line Repair
Hairline restoration plays a crucial role to the quality of your desired look and is arguably one of the most common reasons people consider scalp micropigmentation. With SMP, you have the ability to restore your natural receded hairline or even create a brand new style as per your wishes. There are several options to consider which include:
- Sharp (Clean Shape up)
- Shaped Hairline (Natural Finish)
- Youthful, (Natural finish)
- Slightly Receded (Soft finish)
Pattern Baldness
Pattern baldness affects both men and women. It is a hair loss that predominantly affects the top and front of the scalp. In males, the hair loss is often noticed as a receding hairline, while in females, it typically presents as a thinning of the hair.
If you have lost most of your hair or began noticing thinning, you should definitely consider Scalp Micropigmentation Treatment as it’s the only solution that will produce guaranteed results that look natural. At Scalptist, we will first assess the look/direction of your natural hair follicles and hair colour then begin treatment on the balding areas to create an illusion a fully shaved head.
Scar Concealment
If you have previously undergone a hair transplant, scalp micropigmentation will help to camouflage the dotted scaring from the FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) and likewise for the strip scarring from an FUT (Follicular Unit Transplant) procedure. camouflaging scars is a relatively straight forward process and typically produces great results although may require 3 to 4 sessions to complete.
